刘大为 1945年10月出生于山东诸城。1968年毕业于内蒙古师范大学美术系，1980年毕业于中央美术学院中国画研究生班。现为解放军艺术学院美术系主任、教授,中国美术家协会常务副主席。享受国务院授予的政府特殊津贴。
　　Liu Dawei Born in 1945 in Zhucheng, Shandong Province, Liu Dawei graduated from the Department of Art of the Inner Mongolia Teachers University in 1968 and from the graduate class of Chinese painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1980. He is now chairman of the Department of Art at the People Liberation Army Art College, standing vice-chairman of the Chinese Artists Association and a recipient of the special government subsidy of the State Council.
